Key points
First edition: Crispy Life Events’ daytime Afro-RnB festival, held 26 September 2026.
Bill: Shekhinah and Sun-El Musician headlined; nine live acts and four DJs performed.
Tickets: Sold only on Mookh; final-phase general admission cost KES 5,000.
Who put on Peaches & Cream?
Crispy Life Events is the Nairobi experiential company behind Rhythm & Brunch and Millennials Cookout. Founder Dickson Matata said the event was years in the making, built on the success of the company’s earlier daytime properties.
Organisers said the concept answered demand for premium daytime music experiences in Nairobi: live African music in the open air, away from the intensity of nightclubs. Listings described a racecourse setting with curated food and drink, lifestyle markets and brand activations, where guests could dance in front of the stage or relax on a picnic blanket.
Peaches & Cream is exactly what we have been wanting to build for years. Live performances by Africa’s finest RnB and pop acts, all under the Nairobi sun.
Matata said the programme ran in two halves: live performances through the afternoon and early evening, then Afro-house DJs as the sun went down.
What was on the bill?
Shekhinah and Sun-El Musician were the headliners for the first edition, announced for the outdoor stage. They were joined by a bill of live acts and a DJ roster that took over at dusk, in a programme the organisers framed as a soul-stirring journey of soulful Afro-house under open skies.
Headliners: Shekhinah and Sun-El Musician
Live acts: Nikita Kering, Xenia Manasseh, Bridget Blue, Njerae, Watendawili, Kethan and Ochiko
Afro-house DJs: IV, Bune, Darkfruit and Smolls, on as the sun went down
Running order: Gates at 2 p.m., live sets into the evening, DJs into Sunday, 27 September 2026
We are building from the success of Rhythm & Brunch and Millennials Cookout, and giving Nairobi something it does not have right now. This first edition is a statement.
How much were tickets?
Tickets sold exclusively through Mookh, with prices rising as each phase closed. Every earlier phase sold out, and the ladder climbed from KES 2,000 at early bird to KES 5,000 in the final phase, a 150 per cent increase across six general-admission phases.
