Tusker Oktobafest closed its only Nairobi stop at Covo 254 Lounge in Kahawa Sukari on Sunday 25 October 2026, ending three free-entry nights of beer and live music with Njerae and Codeblack DJs. The weekend ran from Friday 23 October and was the capital leg of Kenya Breweries Limited's nationwide festival, following stops in Eldoret, Nanyuki and Mombasa.

Key points
Tusker Oktobafest ran three free-entry nights at Covo 254 Lounge in Kahawa Sukari, Nairobi, from 23 to 25 October 2026.
Willy Paul and Keteh played Saturday; Njerae and Codeblack DJs closed Sunday; DJ Lisney and Brian the DJ opened Friday.
The Nairobi weekend followed Kenya Breweries Limited tour stops in Eldoret, Nanyuki and Mombasa.
KBL marketing manager Rediet Yigezu said the festival takes the experience closer to consumers across different regions.
The tour continues to 21 November 2026, ending at Big Tree in Mombasa.
Nairobi was a three-night residency. Kenya Breweries Limited spread a different line-up across the three nights, so the capital got a rotating bill rather than one repeated show. That is the test the festival set for itself here: fill the same room three times, for a different reason each night.
Who played the three nights at Covo?
Friday, Saturday and Sunday each carried its own bill. DJ Lisney and Brian the DJ opened Friday 23 October, with MC Jose hosting. Willy Paul and the music group Keteh played Saturday 24 October. Njerae and Codeblack DJs closed the weekend on Sunday 25 October.

What did Kenya Breweries say about the Nairobi stop?
Rediet Yigezu, Marketing Manager at Kenya Breweries Limited, framed the weekend as part of the brand's push to reach drinkers beyond a single city, and as a showcase for Kenyan talent.
The energy and enthusiasm witnessed at Covo, Kahawa Sukari, reflect the power of music and culture in bringing people together. Through Tusker Oktobafest, we set out to take the festival experience closer to our consumers across different regions.
Was entry free, and what was on offer?
Entry was free across all three nights, which lowered the barrier for attendees to come together over music and Kenya Breweries Limited's beer portfolio. The portfolio spans lagers, stouts, ciders and malts, including Tusker Lager, Tusker Malt, Tusker Lite, Tusker Cider, Guinness, Balozi, Manyatta, WhiteCap, WhiteCap Crisp and Pilsner.
KBL says beer enthusiasts can also find flash sales and discounts on KBL beers at supermarkets and select e-commerce partners.
Where does Tusker Oktobafest go next?
The nationwide festival continues across four more dates into November 2026:
Date | Venue | Town |
|---|---|---|
1 November 2026 | 1922 | Mombasa |
7 November 2026 | Nebraska | Ugunja |
14 November 2026 | Space Next Door | Nakuru |
21 November 2026 | Big Tree | Mombasa |
Two of the four remaining nights are on the Coast, bookending the tour in Mombasa, while Ugunja and Nakuru take the format into regional towns.
What is Tusker Oktobafest?
Tusker Oktobafest is East Africa's biggest beer festival and Kenya's only mainstream festival celebrating local culture, according to Kenya Breweries Limited. First staged in 2019, it is now in its seventh year on the company's count, and pairs more than ten beer varieties with homegrown talent from Kenya and across East Africa.
